This month, we are thrilled to spotlight an extraordinary individual whose unwavering commitment and compassion have made a significant impact in our community. Our Volunteer of the Month for April is Ashley Smith, a dedicated advocate and ally in the battle against sickle cell disease.

Smith first became involved with our organization eight months ago, driven by a deep-seated passion to make a difference. Since then, she has become an integral part of our team, demonstrating remarkable leadership and a tireless dedication to our cause.

One of Smith’s most notable contributions has been her organization of the 35th Annual Harambe Festival, which features vendors, performers, exhibitors, and activities from the past. She was able to attract over 5,000 people to this event.

Beyond her remarkable achievements, Ashley is known for her empathy and compassion. Whether interacting with patients, families, or fellow volunteers, she always extend a comforting hand and a listening ear, offering support and encouragement to those in need.

As we celebrate Ashley Smith as our Volunteer of the Month, we are reminded of the profound impact that one person can have on the lives of others. Their dedication and compassion serve as an inspiration to us all, motivating us to continue our efforts to support those affected by sickle cell disease.

To Ashley, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for all that you do. Your unwavering commitment to our cause is truly commendable, and we are honored to have you as part of our team. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and a true champion in the fight against sickle cell disease. Congratulations on being named our Volunteer of the Month!
