There’s a local legend going around about Mac’s cheeseburgers, one that was highlighted by Todd Blackledge’s Taste of the Town. Whether or not it’s true is subject to debate, but I can say that all of the graduates I know have had a burger from there.

A cheeseburger from Mac’s is unquestionably good, and while it’s encouraged for Clemson students to go get one at least once, few really do. So while most students graduate without even knowing Mac’s existed, those few who do know about it graduate with a secret knowledge of some of the best food in town.
