This week we wanted to share with you some of the awesome people that have eaten at Mac’s Drive In. Our most famous visit would have to be Dabo Swinney and Danny Ford.
Dabo Swinney and Dabo Ford enjoyed a great cheeseburger while talking about Clemson vs. Alabama in 2016.
There have also been some other famous Clemson athletes and coaches that have visited and eaten at Mac’s. Former Clemson point guard Bobby Conrad, who quarterbacked Clemson to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in 1980 loved to visit Mac’s. “Mac’s Drive-In was a home away from home,” said Conrad, now a Federal Judge in North Carolina. “I was a freshman from Chicago in 1976 and he made me feel welcome.”
Also, ESPN’s Todd Blackledge began his “Taste of the Town” series at Mac’s Drive-In. Mac’s was his very first feature and a great place to start.
Over the years Mac’s atmosphere and food had drawn in many mentionable people that have made a special impact on the diner, these people are just a few to mention.
